The Grumpy Dingo Radio Cherry-Cherry Old Fashioned

When cherries are in season (and even when they're not) it's time to salute Neil Diamond with a "Cherry-Cherry Old Fashioned". Made with fresh cherries, tart cherry juice...and that Minor Case Rye Whiskey? It's as smooth as Neil Diamond's dulcet tones. "The girl's outta sight, yeah." Don't even get us started on Neil's sideburns. 'Talk about "outta sight?' Oh yeah...

Ingredients

3 ounces of Rye Whiskey (We LOVE Minor Case)

1.5 ounces of tart cherry juice

A few drops of Angostura bitters

1 teaspoon of sugar

4 or 5 pitted cherries (for muddling & garnish)

A peeled orange slice for muddling

Directions

• Place a few pitted cherries & a peeled orange slice in the bottom of a glass.

• Add sugar.

• Add a few drops of bitters.

• Muddle (smash) it all together. Really give it a go!

• Add ice.

• Add the whiskey.

• Add the tart cherry juice.

• Give it a quick stir.

• Garnish with pitted cherries.

• Throw on some Neil Diamond music and enjoy!
