The first documented recipe for the "Gin & It" cocktail was more than 70 years ago and the drink didn't contain nearly as much Gin. Fortunately, things have gotten a lot "Gin-ier" these days and the drink has evolved into a wonderful martini that's slightly sweet and very easy to sip.
2 ounces of Gin
1 ounce of Sweet Vermouth
Orange Bitters (a few drops)
Maraschino Cherries for garnish
Add the Sweet Vermouth directly into a martini glass...no ice is involved.
Pour in the Gin.
Add a few drops of Orange Bitters.
Garnish with Maraschino Cherries.
