Mamie Taylor was a famous opera singer around the turn of the 20th century. It seems that a bartender in Rochester, New York created this Scotch and ginger ale drink at her request sometime around 1899. While we're uncertain of Mamie's opera singing abilities, her taste in cocktails was exquisite. Let's honor Mamie and get mixing!
