The Gin Martini is the ultimate cocktail. But sometimes, you need something different. A walk on the martini wildside. May we suggest the Martinez? It's a song. It's a serenade. It's a smooth, slippery slope made of liquor and weekends that aren't long enough. Let's get mixin' before Monday!

Ingredients

2 parts gin

2 parts dry vermouth

1 part triple-sec

a few drops of orange bitters

Directions

• Combine the gin, vermouth, triple-sec and orange bitters in a shaker with ice. But don't shake!!!

• Instead, stir like the classy person you are.

• Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a cherry.
