It is believed the Gimlet was served to sailors in the British Royal Navy as a way of fighting scurvy. I'm no doctor, but I'll certainly drink to that. The Rosemary Gimlet cranks it up a notch with an herbal take on this classic concoction. Let's head to the garden...and then the bar.
Ingredients
2 ounces of Gin
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
3/4 ounce rosemary syrup (it's super easy to make. Click here.)
Directions
Combine the ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Give it a good shaking. Pretend you're in the middle of California earthquake.
Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a sprig of Rosemary & a fresh lime wedge.
Toast to your lack of scurvy!
