The Grumpy Dingo Radio Tequila Gimlet

I'm Kenny The Bartender and we need to talk about the scourge of scurvy. The Gimlet was first promoted by the British Navy in the 19th century. The lime juice kept scurvy away and the Gin? Well, that was just an added bonus. The Tequila Gimlet sends the British Navy south of the border for some fun in the sun. It tastes great and the best part? Still no scurvy. Yay!!

Ingredients

2 parts silver tequila

1 part simple syrup

1 part lime juice

Lime wheel or wedge for garnish

Coarse salt and sugar for the rim of the glass

Directions

Wipe the rim of a martini glass with a lime wedge.

Press the rim into a plate of coarse salt and sugar.

Pour the liquid ingredients into a shaker with ice.

Shake!!!

Strain into the martini glass.
