The Ward Eight was invented in Boston at the turn of the 20th century. The drink was created around an election & it is one of Beantown's major contributions to mixology. Boston, you make great cocktails. Let's get mixin'!
Ingredients
2 ounces of Rye Whiskey
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce orange juice
2 teaspoons of Grenadine
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Give it a good shake-a-roo.
Strain into a martini glass & garnish with an orange slice or maraschino cherries.
Sip & enjoy!
